Thermo-Fit®
- optimizes metabolism
- increases thermogenesis
- encourages healthy body composition
- decreases the conversion of excess carbohydrates into fat
- supports thyroid function
- encourages lypolysis (breakdown of stored fat)
In order to maintain lean muscle mass and healthy body composition, there must be a balance between energy intake from food and energy expenditure. When caloric intake exceeds expenditure, the body stores the extra calories within fat cells, thus leading to unwanted weight gain. Along with eating a healthy balanced diet and engaging in regular exercise, the success of weight management efforts can be greatly enhanced by improving hormone regulation, metabolic response and the conversion of stored fat into energy through the use of Thermo-Fit.
Thermo-Fit contains botanical extracts which optimize metabolism, increase thermogenesis, and decrease the conversion of excess carbohydrates into fat. In conjunction with a healthy lifestyle, Thermo-Fit is the ideal adjunct to promote and maintain healthy body composition.
Supports Increase in Metabolic Thermogenesis
The body requires the generation of heat energy, a process called thermogenesis, for proper digestion, absorption and metabolism of nutrients. Thermogenesis is the process through which the body generates energy by increasing the metabolic rate. It is regulated by various hormone signals within the neuroendocrine system, the principle regulator of energy metabolism. An increase in metabolic rate requires the utilization of stored energy and is most often achieved through the breakdown of fat stored within fat cells (lipolysis). Coleus forskohlii, Fucoxanthin, Bladderwrack and Green Tea have all shown an ability to raise the metabolic rate above normal, thereby increasing thermogenic related weight reduction.
Blocks Conversion of Carbohydrates into Storage Fat
Specific digestive enzymes, such as amylases, are required by the body to breakdown carbohydrates from food. When these enzymes are blocked, the starch that is eaten cannot be changed into stored energy within fat cells. White kidney bean and green tea extracts both contain compounds proven to act as amylase inhibitors, and are therefore of significant therapeutic value within a successful weight management program.

Forslean® (Coleus forskohlii)
Coleus forskohlii’s primary active constituent, forskolin, promotes lean muscle mass and body composition by its unique ability to increase cellular levels of cyclic AMP. Cyclic AMP assists in mediating hormonal activities which increase metabolism, thermogenesis and energy expenditure. Also relevant to the weight loss mechanism of forskolin is its thyroid stimulating action as well as its involvement in the regulation of insulin secretion. The result is an increase in thermogenesis, metabolic rate and the facilitation of efficient energy utilization. Lastly, forskolin may aid in mood elevation, which can also contribute to a decrease in food-craving related to stress, depression and anxiety.
Fabenol® Max (Phaseolus vulgaris)
Fabenol® Max, an extract obtained from the white kidney bean, contains a protein proven to act as an inhibitor of the digestive enzyme alpha-amylase. By lowering the levels of alpha-amylase available, Fabenol® Max increases the amount of carbohydrates that are excreted from the body rather than having them converted into storage fat.
Fucoxanthin
Fucoxanthin is a carotenoid found in edible brown seaweeds. It possesses the ability to oxidize fat and release energy by adaptive thermogenesis within fat cells of white adipose tissue, the abdominal fat of adult humans. By breaking apart the coupled-proteins within stored fat cells, it releases them to be effectively utilized by the body as energy. Fucoxanthin also provides broad-spectrum protection from oxidative damage.
Bladderwrack
Bladderwrack is one of the highest iodine containing sea vegetables, traditionally used for diseases of the thyroid, obesity, arteriosclerosis and digestive disorders. Iodine supplementation supports increases in thyroid production, which has the potential to initiate weight loss.
Green Tea
Green tea extract supports healthy body composition via several mechanisms. Clinical studies have shown it to activate thermogenesis and increase metabolic rate and fat oxidation. Also, the catechin polyphenols interfere with carbohydrate absorption by inhibiting several digestive enzymes including alpha-amylase and pancreatic lipase.
N-Acetyl-Tyrosine
The amino acid Tyrosine is a precursor to norepinephrine and together with iodine is an essential building block to the thyroid hormone T-4. The thyroid hormones further contribute to sustain metabolic processes, energy production and resulting thermogenesis.
